About Us

The Fort Worth Swing Dance Syndicate (FWSDS) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of swing dancing and its musical accompaniment, in all its forms, by offering educational opportunities and dances to the general public.

We hold dances and lessons every Thursday night. Lessons are from 8-9pm, and social dances start at 9pm and last until 11:30pm.

We also offer a progressive series each month for the dancers who want to go beyond the basics. These classes start the first week of each month. On odd-numbered months, we teach Lindy Hop. Even-numbered months, we either build on top of the Lindy Hop foundation class or teach a different type of swing dance (Charleston, Balboa, line dances, etc.).

VOLUNTEERS
We always seek reliable, self-starting volunteers. At weekly dances, volunteers help with set up, work the front desk, clean up, and fulfill other tasks to help our dances run smoothly. We're also looking for several administrative volunteers to assist with marketing and fundraising over the coming months.
