California Emergency Response Corps (CERC)

  • Mission

CERC’s missions are to help Californians become better prepared for disasters and to be on call for deployment in response to disasters throughout the state. When not on deployment, CERC Members work with regional partners and focus on priorities such as helping local communities respond to, prepare, and recover from disasters.

CERC is an AmeriCorps program implemented by Bay Area Community Resources. Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is the legal applicant agency for the program. This program is part of a larger statewide California Volunteers (CV) campaign to boost emergency preparedness in communities experiencing social isolation, poverty, language barriers, and food insecurities.
