  • Mission

Dedicated to Art for All, Maryland Hall is the region's cultural core, convening and engaging all people in arts experiences that strengthen community.

    About Us

Maryland Hall is a leading regional arts center dedicated to "Art for All" and offers lifelong participation in the arts through performing arts engagements in several venues in and around the facility, the largest of which is >725 seats, through quality arts education lead by a vibrant teaching and learning staff and associated Teaching Artists demonstrating mastery in a wide array of art disciplines, and through four free to the public professional gallery spaces featuring artists of national, state, or local acclaim as well as new and emerging artists.

    Brief History:

In 1979, Maryland Hall was founded by a group of artistic visionaries, in coordination with the Anne Arundel County Board of Education, who believed the former Annapolis High School could best be re-used as a community hub for the Arts. For over 4 decates this partnership has provided a broad range of creative experiences through quality arts education and culturally diverse programs.

In 2020, a dedication was held for Michael E. Busch Center for the Arts at Maryland Hall, which is the totality of all of our programming and outreach that delivers our goal of "Art for All".
