Capital District Tobacco-Free Communities, a program of St. Peter's Health Partners

  • About Us

Capital District Tobacco-Free Communities is a non-profit partnership of people and organizations in Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady counties of New York State. We're funded by a grant from the New York State Department of Health to prevent initiation among youth and young adults, promote quitting among adults and youth, and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke through evidence-based population health strategies. The overarching goal of our efforts is to achieve health equity by focusing our efforts on relieving the burden of tobacco use on the groups most affected including people with low-SES, PLWHA, and those living with mental illness.
