Virginia State Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a team competition in which students work mostly in pairs in a variety of events ranging from biology, earth science, physics, chemistry, engineering and mathematics. Students learn a variety of skills including teamwork, group planning, cooperation, and problem solving. Memorizing facts and figures is not the basis for the events but rather students are challenged to demonstrate their understanding of process skills in science.
