The American Prospect
The American Prospect is a national quarterly print and digital magazine of liberal politics and public affairs, committed to a just society, an enriched democracy, and effective progressive politics. The magazine received the 2004 Utne Independent Press Award for General Excellence.
The Prospect, an independent nonprofit, was launched in 1990 by Paul Starr, Robert Kuttner, and Robert Reich. The magazine is available online, on newsstands, and by subscription.
In addition to our print and digital magazine, we also publish daily web-only features.
In the context of an increasingly consolidated media industry, fresh independent analysis and commentary -- on issues like the economy, civil rights, health care, education, and more -- is more critical than ever. The Prospect's in-depth reporting and authoritative analysis have made it a highly influential and trusted magazine, and a definitive liberal voice.
