About Us

FAWE Rwanda Chapter (FORUM FOR AFRICAN WOMEN EDUCATIONALIST)

FAWE is a Pan-African Organisation whose mission is to support girls and women to acquire education for development. FAWE Rwanda chapter was created in 1997. Since that time we have become the reference for Girl's Education issues in Rwanda.

We have already achieved some great successes: 700 girls at FAWE Girl's School, 412 needy girls are on scholarship, 35 speak out clubs associated with secondary Schools, Establishment of a good relationship with Ministry of Education, establishment of a good network with donors, the elaboration of National EFA Plan on Reduction of Disparities in Education, changing the Ministry of Education policy on Education by putting in place a sub-sector policy on gender education, National festival every year to educate the community, teachers and students on the importance of girls' Education.
