About Us

The North American Association of Indian Students (NAAIS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2020. The organization’s mission is to identify, educate, mobilize, and organize students of Indian-origin to foster a thriving community.

There are over 700,000 Indian-American and Indian national students studying in North America. We want to help bring them together.  NAAIS collectivizes and represents Indian-origin and nationality students in their interests to foster a community in North America.

The North American Association of Indian Students is a non-partisan umbrella organization that seeks to represent students of Indian nationality, origin and background. NAAIS functions as an umbrella organisation for India and India-related student societies in the United States and Canada that aims to bring a unified voice of India's diaspora youth, on a single, international platform, promote Indian culture and further the USA-India relationship by fostering a dynamic youth-led leadership ecosystem. We hope to collaborate with many governmental and non-governmental organisations, working passionately towards our goal of fostering a community of Indian students alongside furthering the North-America-India relationship through its students and youth. We strive to facilate a community which allows young Indian diaspora to contribute to India's social, political and economic development both when they are studying and/or working in North America, and if/when they eventually return to India. We also hope to facilitate a dialogue between people who wish to know more about India.
