Across the Table

  • About Us

Across the Table is a non-profit which breaks down race and socio-economic barriers by uniting Chicagoans over meals and dynamic conversation in order to lead to an understanding and appreciation of participants’ differences and common experiences.

Across the Table’s participants enjoy dinners that take place throughout the city of Chicago in community organizations, arts organizations, ethnically diverse restaurants and even in cooking schools. Each dinner group is limited to ten people and includes a facilitator who will guide and lead the discussion. Each dinner is focused around a specific topic for discussion, but expanding beyond the initial discussion topic is welcomed.
