Protecting forests and wildlife in Indonesia

    About Us

PROFAUNA Indonesia is a foundation engaged in the protection of forests and wildlife. PROFAUNA Indonesia was originally founded in 1994 in the city of Malang, East Java in Indonesia. There are six main issues currently addressed by PROFAUNA Indonesia: wildlife hunting/poaching, sea turtle conservation, forest conservation working together with local communities, forest rehabilitation, nature conservation education, and nature reserve protection. We work through campaigns, education, advocacy, forest management, ranger, wildlife release, and community empowerment. In 2021, PROFAUNA has rehabilitated the protected forest by planting 120,000 trees, conducting 76 forest patrols, and rescuing more than 500 birds that were injured or captured by poachers.
