  • About Us

The Alive Inside Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit, dedicated to healing loneliness and disconnection in all our lives, especially in the lives of the very young and the very old living with dementia.

We partner with communities to connect the generations and shift our relationship with life, aging and growing up.  We seek to End Loneliness using Empathy, Music, Life Story, and Film.

The Alive Inside Foundation emerged out an explosion of empathy that followed the release of the Award-winning documentary Alive Inside. The film has been changing the conversation around aging and awakening people to the power personalized music has to create life for elders who are lonely and for those trapped inside Dementia. The Foundation addresses the health, social, recreational, and logistical needs of the largest population of elders, with and without dementia, to ever arise in our nation. In a time of fractured families, individualism, elders living lonely and often hopeless existences, our Foundation aims to heal this lack of connection by bringing the generations together through personalized music and empathy trainings.
