    The mission of PlayPumps International is to provide access to clean drinking water to millions of children and communities in sub-Saharan Africa. The PlayPump water system is a merry-go-round water pump which pumps water into a storage tank as children spin it.

    As of January 2009 more than 1200 PlayPump water systems are installed in South Africa, Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zambia. In the coming years we will be working to install PlayPump systems in Malawi, Rwanda and Uganda.
