    The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

    The American Cancer Society proudly hosts the San Gabriel Valley Gala as a premiere fundraising event in the fight against cancer. Founded in 2010, this event has raised nearly $400,000 to benefit cancer survivors and patients as well as ongoing research and advancement. With an average of 300 attendees a year, the Gala draws support from Pasadena and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley.
