Currently we are building the most modern animal shelter in South America. We are making Cuenca, Ecuador known as the "City that Cares about Animal Welfare"

    About Us

    FAAN (Fundacion Familia Amor Animal) has been in existence as a legal non-profit in Ecuador for almost 10 years and is committed to:

    Education: Reducing animal abuse and raising awareness

    Spay and Neuter and evidenced-based prevention strategies focused on control of the animal population.

    Adoption, Shelter, and Refuge: Getting at-risk, senior, and medically challenged dogs off the streets and into forever homes. We are currently building the most modern shelter in South American

    Care: through improving nutrition, medical treatment, training, and a large dose of love.

    FAAN is also a sister non-profit of Amici CANNIS, our US based community partner.
