R.U.T.H. 4 Kids seeks to empower and boost the self esteem of young ladies from all walks of life by providing tools that enable them to SOAR and become healthy, strong, and confident young women of selfworth. Our desire is to instill values and inspire our youth and be the stepping stone to their success.

Passionate. Resilient. Caring. Determined. These are just a few words to describe the founder of R.U.T.H. 4 Kids Foundation. Philana Swann is passionate about empowering the next generation of our youth girls of today through mentorship so that they may impact their communities on all levels. R.U.T.H., meaning Reaching Up To Heaven 4 Kids provides a forum centered around 6 pillars of character:

• Trustworthiness - Building trust and credibility with integrity
• Respect - Honor the worth and dignity of all individuals
• Responsibility - Being accountable for your words, actions and attitudes
• Fairness - Being consistent, open and treating all people equal
• Caring - Being kind, compassionate, forgiving and grateful
• Citizenship - Obeying laws in good faith

As a mother of 3 daughters, the founder holds an exclusive interest in and commitment to provide a forum to young girls ages 8 to 16 with hopes to educate, enrich and enhance their lives both academically and socially through mentoring relationships. The desire to impart confidence and healing in the lives of young girls by providing tools and resources can assist them with realizing their full potential and help make some of their dreams become realities.

While all goals may not be fulfilled, the mission of R.U.T.H. 4 Kids is to provide exposure to different opportunities that can encourage goals.

R.U.T.H 4 Kids meet a wide range of community needs through their group mentoring program by building nurturing and encouraging relationships that allow girls to take risks and master a physical, intellectual, and emotional challenge. The experiences, resources and partnering with parents through relationship building gives an important edge as there is a committment to helping girls make smart choices in ways that are innovative and will have an impact in the community in a positive way.
