Founded in 1996, CityDance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization recognized as an arts and education leader throughout the DC metropolitan area. With its mission to transform lives and communities through dance, CityDance produces and presents world-class dance; trains young dancers for professional careers; and uses dance to prepare youth for academic, professional, and personal success.

CITYDANCE PRESENTS brings acclaimed national and international companies to the region’s most prestigious performance venues.

CITYDANCE IGNITE supports rising choreographic stars to create, produce, and perform their own work.

CITYDANCE SCHOOL & CONSERVATORY prepares young dancers for 21st- century careers by providing students unparalleled opportunities to work and perform with professional artists and superlative training in ballet, contemporary, and world dance forms.

CITYDANCE DREAM is an after-school program that provides dance classes and performance opportunities; mentoring and tutoring to students from D.C.’s most underserved communities. DREAM’s mission is to use dance as a pathway for youth to graduate high-school and discover and pursue their full potential. Established in 2005, the DREAM program serves youth in grades three to twelve at public schools and community sites across the nation’s capital.
