Economic Security IL

Economic Security Illinois’ mission is to build interest in cash transfer policies with a focus on

modernizing and expanding (EITC) in IL. ESIL conducts its work through three focus areas:

• An economic empowerment & inclusion table to support economic security work, creating
• space for organizations to collaborate and innovate.
• Working with municipal officials in Chicago on development of a guaranteed income pilot and
• possible EITC innovations at the city level.
• Promoting a Cost-of-Living Refund for low-income and moderate-income Illinoisans through a
• statewide expansion and modernization of the Earned Income Tax Credit.
