Save Barton Creek Association

  • About Us

We formed in 1979 in response to community concerns about the impact of urbanization on Barton Creek and Barton Springs. SBCA has been a leading conservation organization in Austin working to ensure that future generations may enjoy our waterways and Central Texas natural resources.

Through education, outreach, and advocacy, Save Barton Creek Association is dedicated to protecting Barton Springs, the Onion and Barton Creek watersheds, and the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer. In addition, we support water quality protection in all Austin and Central Texas creeks.
