    About Us

Get involved with the Green Door to make a difference in the world while connecting with your community. We sell clothing, housewares, furniture, jewelry, & many unexpected treasures. All inventory comes from donations & consignments. All profits go to charity through an annual application & review process. We have 2 paid employees & approximately 40 volunteers ranging in age from students to people in their 90's. We invite partnerships with local schools, scout & service organizations.

The Green Door began on April 13, 1953, as a ministry of the Women’s Auxiliary at 1813 Nacogdoches Road in a rented space with 10 volunteers. The present building was completed in 1958 at 1030 Nacogdoches Rd & expanded in 1965 to its current size.
