  • Mission

Washtenaw Recovery Advocacy Project (WRAP) is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) and our representation consists of people in recovery, family and friends of recovering persons, and other allies of recovery. Our mission is to advocate for those affected by substance use disorder to policy makers at all levels of government, open doors and break down barriers to recovery by promoting multiple pathways, reduce the stigma associated with addiction through the engagement and education of our communities about the truth behind substance use disorder, in turn changing the face of addiction to one of recovery.

    About Us

The Washtenaw Recovery Advocacy Project (WRAP) advocates for those with substance use disorders on local, state, and federal levels. We plan many fun and engaging community education and stigma reduction events each year, in an effort to help build recovery-friendly communities. One such example is our annual softball game between people in recovery and deputies from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office (WCSO). We also have a newsletter, The Recovery Advocate, that we put out twice each year. There are many different volunteer opportunities within WRAP, from event planning to outreach.
