Mount Pleasant Main Street

Washington, DC

  • About Us

Our mission is the physical, social, and economic revitalization of Mount Pleasant Street--a neighborhood commerical district. It includes 75 small businesses, most of which are owned by immigrants from Latin America, Korea, and a variety of other countries. These businesses are located in small historic commercial buildings that date from the 1920s. A growing number of businesses on the street are owned by residents of the surrounding neighborhood. Since we are using the Main Street approach, volunteer efforts will be key in the revitalization of Mount Pleasant Street.
