TRUE Mentors

The mission of TRUE Mentors is to unearth the excellence of our participants through meaningful relationships. We recognize the value of healthy community-based activities in building skills and allowing participants to reach their full potential.

We provide free programs and mentoring for Hudson County youth between the ages of 7 - 18 and/or high school graduation. Established in 2011, TRUE Mentors is the only 1:1 mentoring program in Hoboken and the surrounding area. In addition, we have weekly evening Enrichment Clubs, a group mentoring opportunity, our newest edition, the Teen Internship Program (T.I.P.) which assists high school students in building up professional skills and contacts in order to procure first-time employment.

With over a 500 mentor matches to dates, 250 enrichment clubs, and over 1,000 volunteers that have come through our programs, TRUE Mentors leverages local community resources in order to provide a robust array of events and activities. Our agency is dedicated to providing underserved youth with the opportunity for wholesome, longstanding relationships that will help them grow into the best version of themselves.
