About Us

A4ID is a global charity that believes the law can, and should, be used more effectively to eradicate global poverty.Around the world, development organisations work tirelessly to improve access to basic services for the poorest people and empower local communities to tackle poverty. But we have seen that very often a lack of access to legal expertise can reduce the impact of these organisations. We also know that in many instances the law itself can act as a barrier to sustainable international development. It is our role to ensure that legal support is available for all those involved in the fight against poverty and that lawyers and development organisations have the skills and knowledge to use the law as an effective development tool.
