    The Mission of Dresden Elementary School Education Foundation is to energize community partners and business resources for the pursuit of educational excellence. We support students, teachers, staff by funding activities and programs that provide a positive learning environment, enriching activities and academic support.

    About Us

    The Dresden Elementary School Education Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit established to exclusively benefit Dresden Elementary School in Chamblee, Georgia. We sponsors programs to help students succeed, engage parents and support the teachers and school:

    One-To-One Tutoring - Volunteers provide individual reading and homework tutoring twice a week to students in grades K-3 from non English speaking homes. A goal of the after school program is to help students read at or above grade level by the end of third grade

    Classroom Reading Tutor--Kindergarten

    Volunteers provide individual tutoring to students, helping them learn to read, improve their vocabulary, and gain confidence in speaking English. Sessions are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 11:00am and 1:00pm.

    Classroom Tutor

    Volunteers help 5th grade students with reading, math and science. Sessions are held from 11:15am to 1:15pm on Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays.

    Coffee and Conversation - We hold lectures and workshops for the parents of all students enrolled at Dresden Elementary School.

    Teacher Support - We provide books and supplies to the teaching staff throughout the year.

    Grounds Beautification/Landscaping - Volunteers plant flowers, pull weeds and pick up trash throughout the school year.
