About Us

Sue Rock Originals Everyone, Inc is doing ground breaking work in the domestic violence community.  Our program includes Entrepreneurship, Women's Empowerment, Eco-Fashion and so much more as we create safe spaces for survivors of domestic violence who leave.

For 10 years we have had the encouragement of the Brooklyn District Attorney's office in supporting the lives of women. Brooklyn Borough President has coined our work "Handcrafted Healing" and  Sue Rock Originals was presented with the Woman of Valor Award for Excellence in Service by Senator John L. Sampson. The award was made by Senator Sampson and New York's City Council for this organization's tireless work to support Domestic Violence survivors in the New York area.

Some of our most recent projects include:

Bel Kan Girls Camp - Recipients of 200 handcrafted skirts made by volunteers onsite at our New York Studio.

Girls in Need - Providing fabric for sanitary products for girls in developing countries

Sewing for Survivors - the creation of quilts for survivors in domestic violence residences throughout NYC.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2011, our organization amassed over 150 volunteers to create beautiful handcrafted quilts for domestic violence residences in New York City. Attached are some of the photos and blog responses for that day - The turnout was amazing!http://www.flickr.com/photos/iwanticandy/sets/72157626123738750/ http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/1/17/936999/-On-MLK-Day,-Community-and-Service#http:my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/chrislicata
