    About Us

Friends of the Butterflies and the Rainforest Foundation was started by The Butterfly Palace in Branson Missouri, a live butterfly exhibit. The butterflies exhibited there are imported from butterfly farms located their native rainforest countries. The butterfly farming industry was created in order to hep indigenous people save their rainforest, provide a sustainable income and therefore sustainable rainforest economy. The foundation's hope is to send more money to the rainforest therefore allowing butterflies to help save the rainforest.

The goal is to spread the word by educating guests who visit the Butterfly Palace & other community outreach programs. Through donations, more butterflies can be purchased and in turn provide more funding to the farmers in the rainforest to purchase protected land. This will promote species preservation, education and provide income to local people that saves the rainforest rather than destroy it.
