About Us

Making It Possible to end Homelessness (MIPH) has been a leader in homeless services, since it was founded in the late 1980s. It was the first agency in the country to receive federal surplus property to address homelessness, and it developed one of the very first transitional housing programs in New Jersey. MIPH now runs a transitional housing program for single-parent families in our Amandla Crossing Program, a transitional program providing housing and supportive services to homeless individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in our Imani Park program, a supportive housing program for young women who have just aged out of New Jersey’s foster care system but have no home of their own in our POWERS Program (Providing Opportunities Where Everyone Reaches Success), and a Community Housing Program working to keep formerly homeless individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in permanent housing.
