youth development programs. One of 180 chapters nationwide,
The First Tee provides a unique opportunity for boys and girls
ages 5-18 to learn and apply life skills and healthy habits by teaching nine core values:- Honesty
- Integrity
- Sportsmanship
- Respect
- Confidence
- Responsibility
- Perseverance
- Courtesy
- Judgment
community, work hard to build rapport and create fun learning
environments that empower youth to make decisions by thinking
about the consequences. Through The First Tee young people
can learn not only the basics of golf, but the lifelong benefits of
volunteering, mentoring and tutoring.
The First Tee of Howard County also offers specialized
programming and opportunities such as Girls Golf and a Metro
Tour that allows older youth to compete against peers on top
courses across the region.
