Friends of Live Oaks exists to support ARK (Animals Reaching Kids) and the Garden of Life — cultivating spaces where animals are cared for, food is grown, and people are strengthened through meaningful service.

Volunteering here means trading screen time for stall time, tending garden rows, supporting community events, and stepping into hands-on work that builds responsibility and compassion. But more than that, it means becoming part of a community rooted in love and stewardship.

Volunteering at ARK and the Garden of Life is hands-on and purpose-driven. As a working barn and garden, we rely on volunteers to help with daily operations and special initiatives.

Volunteer responsibilities may include:

• Stall cleaning and general barn chores
• Feeding and watering animals
• Animal grooming and basic care
• Assisting with animal training
• Serving as class assistants during educational programs
• Closing tasks and property upkeep
• Gardening and tending growing spaces
• Supporting special events and special projects

This is active, outdoor work that can be physically engaging and rewarding. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping the barn, garden, and community programs running smoothly.
