    The mission of the Center for Public Safety and Justice (CPSJ) is to promote community policing as a philosophy and practice for all members of a community. It is through partnerships and community engagement, organizational change and transformation, innovative approaches to problem solving, non-traditional thinking, strong community-based leadership and quality education, training and technical assistance that the essence of community policing is redefined and applied in order to enhance the quality of life across the United States.
