    The Friends of People's Prep provide resources and support to the students, alumni, and staff of People's Preparatory Charter School of Newark.

    About Us

    People's Prep is Newark's only, and longest established, stand-alone charter high school. Serving a population of 380 students grades 9 through 12, our mission is to prepare all students to graduate from the college of their choice as informed, involved, and resilient citizens. Most notably, our school commits to supporting students and their families through high school and for six years post-graduation to ensure their success.
