Mission
Our mission is to publish diverse children’s books written by Black and Brown children. We aim to use book publishing as a self-sufficient financial pathway for our young authors.
About Us
Young Authors Publishing is a not-for-profit children's book publisher that exists to share the stories of Black and Brown kids. Through our Mentor Internship Program, we hire and train college students of color on the publishing industry, allowing them to help our young authors write their books while also working with editors, designers and illustrators to complete their young authors' books as well as collect metadata. A portion of book sales are placed in a secured savings account for each young author to access at the age of 18. We use book publishing as a self-sufficient financial pathway for our young authors.
