About Us

The mission of the Worcester County Food Bank is to engage, educate, and lead Worcester County in creating a hunger-free community. WCFB distributes donated food to a network of 145 partner agencies in Worcester County that have programs for feeding people, including food pantries, community meal sites, and shelters.

In fiscal year 2014, WCFB distributed 5.4 million pounds of donated perishable and non-perishable food that assisted 104,500 people.

WCFB is the leading anti-hunger advocacy organization in Worcester County. It facilitates the Worcester County Hunger-Free Network, which is comprised of our partner agencies. It is a founding member of the Worcester Food & Active Living Policy Council. Both the Hunger-Free Network and the Food Policy Council work to increase utilization of the federal nutrition programs by eligible households, promote community food security, and advocate at the local, state, and federal levels for sustainable and systemic solutions to hunger through public policy.
