    Friends of St. Vincent Cemetery (FoSVC) recently received IRS acceptance letter in March 2012 and our IRS ID #90-0666447. To work with St. Vincent de Paul Parish and the Baltimore Community to plan and to fund the maintenance and preservation of what remains of St. Vincent Cemetery; to plan and to fund improvements to the Cemetery and to its grounds, including a memorial to those buried there; to continue to research and identify records that document burials into St. Vincent Cemetery and to make burial records available to researchers and the general public; to promote the Cemetery and its burial records as an educational resource for historians, students, and family researchers; to restore and protect the dignity of the 4,100 people buried in St. Vincent Cemetery.

    About Us

    St. Vincent Cemetery located within the confines of Clifton Park in Baltimore City was destroyed by the Church in 1981 in an ill-conceived effort to discourage vandalism. The cemetery was ultimately abandoned and became engulfed in invasive trees, weeds and debris.

    Friends of St. Vincent Cemetery (FoSVC) received the IRS acceptance letter and 501c3 nonprofit status with IRS EIN #90-0666447 in March 2012. FoSVC is attempting to rescue St. Vincent Cemetery by clearing out all the weeds and developing the cemetery into a memorial park that will return dignity to the gravesites of 4,100 people buried there.

    Friends of St. Vincent Cemetery would like to have St. Vincent Cemetery complement the neighboring Clifton Park.

    There are people buried in St. Vincent Cemetery who were an important part of the historical fabric of Baltimore City. We have documented records of a Revolutionary War Vet, Civil War veterans, Spanish American War vet, and veterans of World War I, and World War II. This is an educational opportunity to enlighten local Baltimore community members about the history of the people buried in St. Vincent Cemetery.
