Washington State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

About Us

The Washington Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) has federal and state authority to advocate for residents of long-term care settings; to assist residents in claiming their right to quality of life and quality of care; to investigate complaints when those rights are violated. This includes access to health care services, particularly Medicaid services; health care education; Residents Rights, which are protected by state and federal law; and promoting quality improvement in long-term care settings. The LTCOP is a statewide program of the Multi-Service Center (MSC), a Community Action Agency. The State Office is located in the Federal Way office of MSC. There are 12 local offices across the state that provides local services. Each office recruits, trains and supervises a corps of Certified LTC Ombudsmen. We are a passionate group of advocates!
