Curcubeu-Rainbow-Szivarvany Fundatia, Targu-Mures

Foundation Curcubeu´s goal is to improve the situation of the Roma/ Gypsy community from Targu-Mures, especially in the slum "Valea Rece". Education is the centerpiece of the organization with the intent to create positive long-term changes for the community starting with the children. This entails helping them to reach the school level appropriate for their age and teach them social skills acceptable to the public schools. We also offer a feeding program, clothing donations and we are starting vocational training to students and community members. Education is the first step towards improving the lives and conditions of the community and for integration of the community into mainstream Romanian society.
