Who we are:
The School of Public Health, University at Albany is a dynamic and progressive place for students to advance their careers through graduate study. As the only School of Public Health in the United States in partnership with a state health department, we provide students with opportunities to work closely with faculty who are practitioners and research scientists addressing “front-page” health issues.
Degree programs are interdisciplinary and competency based, combining cutting edge research, policy development and administration, and students benefit from access to New York State Department of Health facilities, databases, internships and full-time employment opportunities.
Public health professional are leaders in their communities who work every day to promote positive health behaviors and protect the public’s health and safety.
Degrees Offered:
Students may earn an MPH, MS, PhD or DrPH in Biomedical Sciences, Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management or Social Behavior and Community Health, as well as a Master’s International (MI) degree, which provides students the opportunity to incorporate Peace Corps Volunteer Service into the MPH degree. The School also offers a fully online MPH in Public Health Practice, as well as a fully online Certificate in Public Health Fundamentals and Principles.
