    Our mission statement is to provide a loving, wholesome, safe learning environment that nurtures each child in his/her social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development, and one that encourages each child to develop a good and accurate self-concept. To accomplish this, a team approach is necessary. Everyone’s job is essential to the well-being of the children and every job is equally valuable. Mutual respect and trust among staff and parents are the cornerstone of the personnel policies. Every job description focuses on our mission statement.

    About Us

    Tiny Tots and Little Tykes Preschool and Child Care Center is licensed and accredited, non-sectarian, non-profit, tax-exempt and open to the public. Our program is licensed by the State of Minnesota through the Department of Human Services. We are licensed for 148 children, including 12 infants, 40 toddlers, 70 preschoolers, and 26 school age children. Within the structure of this licensure, the preschool program is set up for 40 students aged three to five years. It has been in operation since 1973 in West St. Paul.

    We are accredited through the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation ( NECPA) to ensure we can offer the highest quality care. As a NECPA accredited program, we have maintained our place among a select group of early childhood education centers nationally distinguished by our quality, commitment to young children, and dedication to excellence.

    We hold a 4-Star (the highest) Parent Aware Rating. Fact: Children in care settings with Parent Aware Ratings showed significant gains in kindergarten readiness measures, such as vocabulary, phonics, print knowledge and social skills.
