Trips for Kids Charlotte

  • Mission

Our mission is to provide outdoor outings (primarily bike rides), community service, and educational opportunities for at risk kids that do not have access to these types of activities within their communities or environments.

    About Us

Trips for Kids Charlotte is a Public, Private partnership with the Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation Department and various Charlotte Metrolina Non-profit organizations that assist TFKC in conducting its Kids, Bike Ride and Community Service/Education Programs. The Kids Program allows kids to enter into and participate in TFKC programs from ages 9-15. The Bike Ride Program takes kids from our Kid's Program, as well as, "groups" of kids from partner non-profits/government units on mountain bike rides. Our Community Service/Education Programs provide opportunities for "giving back" through maintaining local bike trails, teaching bike safety in the school system, and doing bike maintenance on TFKC's bikes. Check out www.tripsforkidscharlotte.org for more on TFKC's programs.
