  • About Us

Destination: College (DC), a growing non-profit organization, works with lower-income students at high schools in Westchester County. The mission is to help athletes at under-resourced high schools in Westchester County achieve academic success in high school; obtain admission to a college best-suited to their academic and financial needs; and persist to obtain a college degree.

DC offers onsite tutoring, mentorship, SAT test preparation, a reading program, college advisement, and assistance with all aspects of financial aid. Volunteers deliver many program components. Since its founding in 2006, DC has helped hundreds of lower-income students gain acceptance to colleges best suited to their academic, athletic, and financial needs. DC’s college retention rates surpass the national norms for similarly situated students.
