Toronto, ON, Canada | www.ora-animalsrescue.org/

About Us

We are a registered charitable organization, 100% volunteer based, promoting the humane treatment of all animals and the preservation of Wildlife. ORA is operating in and around the Greater Toronto Area and is working for the well-being and protection of all our fellow animals. While any animal species is the object of our concern (dogs, raccoons, skunks, bears, coyotes, etc.), and while we are devoted to protect their rights and interests, we have found ourselves largely involved with the rescue of cats. In this field, ORA is committed mainly:

  • to campaigning for and financing spaying and neutering in order to curb pet over-population
  • to locating suitable permanent homes for tamed feral cats, for stray and abused cats and for cats abandoned by their owners Toward the preservation of the Canadian wildlife, endangered by urban sprawling. ORA is working:
  • to acquire large acreages of forested land in different sensitive areas of Ontario to be preserved as permanent sanctuaries for the indigenous fauna.
  • to solicit donations of private land in any area of Ontario to create oases where the wildlife can live peacefully and protected.
