Iovine and Young Foundation

The mission of the Iovine and Young Education Group is to empower a diverse generation of K-12 student leaders to become innovators and entrepreneurs using a challenge-based learning framework that cultivates students’ unbridled superpowers providing authentic access to our emerging global society.

With a visionary gift from arts and tech entrepreneurs Jimmy Iovine and Andre “Dr. Dre” Young, the University of Southern California established a new school to nurture unbridled creativity at the intersection of four essential areas: the arts and design; engineering and computer science; business and venture management; and communication. The USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation has become a transformational presence, providing a collaborative creative environment that brings together multidisciplinary students, faculty, and professional mentors.

The Iovine and Young Center High School, created in 2022 in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District, extends this innovative learning framework to early generations, specifically targeting Black and Brown high school students in public education. Located in Leimert Park, Los Angeles, IYC is committed to fostering exceptional creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
