    The Learning Center is a neighborhood adult center which offers free education to women and men in west Chicago since 1983. We offer Adult Basic Education, GED test preparation, and English as a Second Language classes. We also help our students find employment and offer a food pantry once a week.

    Mission Statement:

    The Learning Center, in the North Lawndale and Little Village area of Chicago, supports adults in their pursuit of an educational path to more confident and effective living.

    We believe adults can learn, have a right to quality education, and that education is liberating.
