Merit America Volunteers

Merit America is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding economic mobility for adults navigating career transitions. We create fast, flexible pathways to family-sustaining careers for individuals who are often overlooked by traditional education and hiring systems, especially adults without four-year degrees.

We serve working adults who are motivated to build better futures for themselves and their families by providing skills training, career coaching, and access to employer networks in high-growth fields. Our approach is designed to be practical, supportive, and rooted in real-world outcomes.

At the heart of our work is community. Learners, alumni, coaches, and volunteers come together to share knowledge, encouragement, and opportunity. Volunteers play a critical role by helping learners connect what they’re learning to real career experiences, increasing confidence and clarity along the way.
