About Us

The Wilma Hepker School of Social Work offers a clinical focus Master of Social Work and Doctor of Social Work program. We are the only school in the Pacific Northwest to offer a DSW. Our MSW program takes a direct practice/systems approach to social work education by integrating theory and direct practice experience.

The Walla Walla University MSW program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and is offered in College Place, Washington, Billings, Montana and Missoula, Montana. Meets one-day-a-week with some online courses and includes an Advanced standing and Regular standing program allowing completion in 6 quarters or less.

Our DSW program is entirely online, 18 classes over 2.5 years (10 quarters). The focus is on teaching and leadership within social work, making practitioners scholars.

OBJECTIVES OF THE GRADUATE PROGRAM Graduate programs provide an atmosphere which stimulates intellectual curiosity and independent thinking. They are designed to develop an appreciation for the value of research, to provide involvement with basic research techniques, and to strengthen professional competence in areas of specialization.
