  • Mission

Mira Foundation USA provides guide dogs to blind children, ages 11-17, across the contiguous United States free of charge.

    About Us

Mira Foundation USA was created by our founder who lost his vision after heart surgery. He went to Mira Canada to inquire about a guide dog for himself, connected with the founder of Mira Canada, and together they worked to help fill the gap for blind and visually impaired children ages 11-17 in the United States. Today, Mira USA serves to help guide families through the application process and connect them with Mira Canada for evaluation and guide dog school. We fund the application, travel, and other guide dog expenses through guide dog school graduation. We also serve as a resource to our applicants and their families after receiving their guide dog to ensure a great experience and continued connection and support.
