About Us
Mission Statement
Action Corps Illinois is part of Action Corps, an organization with trained organizers in 10 states. Its mission is to champion justice, in solidarity with people most affected by climate disasters and violent conflict. We do this, through education and advocacy, pressing members of Congress for humanitarian policy changes.
Action Corps informs, inspires, and mobilizes public support though grassroots action.
Description
Previously part of Oxfam America, Action Corps is a volunteer-run organization with over 25 trained organizers in 10 states: CA, IA, ID, IN, FL, MA, MN, NY, RI, VA. Recently the organization became a fiscally sponsored project of the Social Good Fund, which provides administrative services and legal oversight.
