The Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic site and Archives connects the story of the American Protestant missionaries and their descendants to the history and culture of Hawaii in order to give present generations of residents and visitors a deeper understanding of, and appreciation for, Hawaii’s rich and complex history. –Mission Statement, adopted 2006
Mission Houses Museum officially changed its name to Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives on February 2012.
