ALS Canada BuckAPuck for ALS

  • Mission

ALS Canada Buck-A-Puck for ALS is a grassroots fundraising initiative that brings together a passion for hockey with an unwavering commitment to supporting the ALS Society of Canada’s (ALS Canada) research program across the country. We aim to create a lasting impact by raising awareness and vital funds to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The concept is simple yet powerful: For every dollar raised, players will take a shot on net – whether in a game, on their own time at home, or playing with friends. Ten dollars equals ten shots, $100 equals 100 shots – you get the idea! Whether you’re cheering from the stands or following the game from the comfort of your home, you can participate in this fun-loving initiative by making a simple donation.

    About Us

Buck-A-Puck began as a community event organized by Sarah Lopez and Heather Evans, along with Joshua Lopez, Liam Muffitt, and George Daly. They were inspired to take on this incredible initiative after losing their hockey coach, Coach Steve Daly, to ALS. We are incredibly excited to partner with the Buck-A-Puck organizers and launch this campaign!

    Where do the funds go?

The funds raised through ALS Canada Buck-A-Puck for ALS support the ALS Canada Research Program, the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. By contributing even one dollar per puck, you become part of the collective effort to drive progress in finding a cure for ALS and enhancing the lives of people living with this devastating disease.
