University of Massachusetts Amherst Labor Center
The Labor Center is the premier graduate program in the country for those who want to work in the labor movement. Our residential Master's of Science in Labor Studies is a multi-disciplinary program that combines coursework, an internship, and hands-on union experience. Our concentrations in globalization, labor and communities, and strategic corporate research equip graduates to work in the labor movement and other organizations advocating for workers' rights. We place more graduates in the labor movement each year than the other major labor studies and industrial relations programs combined. We also have an M.S. in Labor Studies in a limited-residency format for trade union officers, staff, and activists in an innovative limited-residency program.
